The Power of WhatsApp Group

Who doesn't know WhatsApp? WhatsApp is a cross-platform messaging application that is quite popular today. This application does not require pulses to send messages, but uses an internet data package. One of the services provided by WhatsApp is WhatsApp Group. In WhatsApp Groups, users can communicate and discuss with many people in the same chat room. Of course, this makes it easier for users to discuss a particular job, activity, education, or hobby. Therefore, I agree that WhatsApp Groups have many advantages because they are effective in disseminating information, easy to use, and easy to build relationships.

WhatsApp Groups are effective in disseminating information because WhatsApp has a large number of users. According to Kominfo, there are 171 million internet users in Indonesia, and 83 percent of those 171 million use WhatsApp (Kominfo, 2019). With the number of users, information can be spread quickly and widely. Coupled with the "Forward Message" feature that allows users to share messages directly to other groups or contacts. For example, news about road closures in a certain area. The news can be quickly spread through WhatsApp Groups so it can save people who want to go to work.

Unlike other messaging applications, WhatsApp is easy to use because it has a simple appearance and features. This is one of the reasons why WhatsApp is in great demand by parents. The appearance that does not make the eyes dizzy makes officials of the West Java Natural Resources Conservation Center use WhatsApp Group to support their work. WhatsApp also doesn't require high specifications for the device so almost all smartphones can run the application.

WhatsApp Groups make it easy for us to add relationships because we can contact other people's contacts who have the same hobbies or goals in one group. We can get new acquaintances in the group, so it is possible to do business cooperation, get a girlfriend, or playmates. For example, a community group for Indonesian mathematicians. From that group, we can build a team to participate in the math olympiad competition. When the competition is held in Surabaya, we can contact the members of the Indonesian mathematician group who live in Surabaya. Then a friendship is formed.

Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that WhatsApp Groups have many advantages because they are effective in disseminating information, easy to use, and easy to build relationships. Therefore, I recommend you to use WhatsApp Group.
